Port Dickson is a lovely resort community situated in the state of Negeri Sembilan. With its inviting beaches and exclusive resorts along with the access to a historic fort and forest reserve, this is an ideal layover between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca.
Life in Port Dickson is all about beaches attractions such as Blue Lagoon, Teluk Kemang, Bagan Pinang and Cahaya Negeri. Along the beaches is where accommodations in found, ranging from all-inclusive resorts to private bungalows. There are many activities can be done at the beach, to name a few including snorkeling, water skiing and windsurfing. Boat charter is also provided at the yacht club for tourist or local to explore more on the remote portion of the coastline.
Traveling to Port Dickson is relatively easy since Kuala Lumpur is only an hour’s drive away (approximately 90km). The resorts here are a popular weekend retreat for locals, but the atmosphere is relatively quiet during mid-week.
Teluk Kemang Beach
Teluk Kemang is the largest and most popular beach in Port Dickson, located between 7th and 8th miles from PD town.
Saujana Beach lies along 4th mile of the Port Dickson beach road, strecthing from Avillion Resort for 700 meters until the Satay Kajang Hawker Stall Centre. The main entrance is opposite the Saturday Night Market site, but a few gravel paths snake their way to the beach between the outlying hotels.
Cahaya Negeri Beach
Cahaya Negeri Beach is a popular beachside destination between 5th and 6th mile of the Port Dickson beach road.
The beach is stretched a mile long located away from the busy main road and secondary forest. The name translated to "Moonlight" in English, referring to its peaceful environment that sets a romantic mood, making it popular among couple that flocks here in the evening.
Tanjung Gemok Beach
Tanjung Gemok Beach also known as Scout Beach, Taman Tanjong Beach or 2nd Mile Beach, has been well known since 1980s when it was a meeting place for all the Scouts in Negeri Sembilan. The sandy beach is as long as 1km stretching from the Seaview Restaurant to Glory Beach Resort Hotel.
Blue Lagoon Beach
Blue Lagoon Beach is located about 15km from Port Dickson town offers a breath-taking view of the surrounding greenery and the blue open sea. The lagoon is an ideal spot for swimming, boating, wind surfing and water skiing. This is where the action is when it comes to having fun in the sun.
Bagan Pinang Beach
Bagan Pinang lies between 2nd to 4th mile of the Port Dickson beach road, while being quite a long beach, the atmosphere is moderately quiet, with most of the visitors coming from several resorts within the vicinity. Kite flying, water sports and fishing activities are fairly minimal, but the sea waters here are slightly murky being closer to Port Dickson town.
The beach is also stretched a mile long! It was located on the other side of teh Cape Rachado Beach (Pantai Tanjung Tuan), a quiet beach destination back with Blue Lagoon Beach. It has a beautiful view of the rainforest and mangroves at its eastern edge.
